We’re bringing the classic cowboy poetry, music, and humor of the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering direct to Winnemucca—on film! The Humboldt Museum will be the second stop on the Gathering in Your Town circuit. Taking advantage of the last days of summer, the outdoor film screening will begin as the sun goes down. The program will also feature live performances of poetry by Carolyn Dufurrena, songs by Celeste Brody, and recitation by Jack Southwick, thanks to our partner Great Basin Arts and Entertainment. Usher in this new season and this new program by joining us for a family-friendly evening of cowboy-inspired video and entertainment.
With dynamic media productions and a series of traveling shows, the Gathering in Your Town program brings the entertainment and educational experiences audiences enjoy at the annual destination event, the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering, to local communities throughout northern Nevada. Drawing from over 30 years of footage and a wide network of artists, each stop on the Gathering in Your Town traveling circuit will be unique, just like the towns it visits.
Join us for a good laugh and a good, open-air gather… in your own backyard!
Tickets are suggested donation at the door. For more information about tickets or the venue, contact the Humboldt Museum.
