Due to increasing health concerns, we are taking a precautionary measure to maximize social distancing and minimize the potential spread of COVID-19. Beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, the Western Folklife Center Gift Shop, Wiegand Gallery, and administrative offices are temporarily closed until further notice.

Our popular exhibition of the annual Elko School District Student Art features an exhibition of mixed media (grade school students) and photography (high school students) celebrating our youth’s creativity, imagination and craftsmanship. On display at the Western Folklife Center from mid-January through March. At this time, the Artists’ reception scheduled April 1, 2020, 4:30-6:30 pm, is postponed. A new date has not yet been selected.

Announcement: We are pleased to announce that selected work from this exhibition will travel to Las Vegas for a show at the Nevada Humanities Program Gallery, June 4-July 22, 2020.
