Stamped Leather Contest Pieces

This display, resulting from a contemporary flower stamping competition, is testimony to the high level of artistry and craftsmanship achieved by modern stampers in the West today. These stamped leather panels were created and donated to the Western Folklife Center in 1997 as part of its exhibition Saddle Up! A Renaissance in Leather. The contest results were as follows:
