|Buying Tickets Early as a Member|
Tickets for the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering are on sale starting at 9:00 am Pacific Time on September 3, 2013, for members only: one month earlier than non-members. Remember, if you are a part of our Stakeholder program, you will also need to be a member to take part in early ticket sales.
To purchase tickets and Day or Deluxe Passes online as a member, at the time you go online to purchase them, you will need to be a member in good standing—within the week prior to ticket sales— and to know your member level. You will also need the following information exactly as it shows on the mailing label of your brochure: last name, city of residence, and state or province.
Check your membership level benefits here.
Again, prior to purchasing tickets, we ask that in the week prior to opening day of ticket sales you please check your membership to ensure it is active, and for the benefits level and the amount of tickets you may purchase for shows. Be sure to join or renew your membership prior to Friday, August 30, 2013; if you are not a valid member by this date, you must call in your order to 775.738.7508 (in Elko or outside the U.S.) or toll free 888-880-5885, as our online ticketing system will not recognize you as a member.
Please note, your membership benefits do not include a Day or Deluxe pass for the Gathering. However, in addition to buying tickets early, members of the Western Folklife Center can request free tickets to one of the two Members' Shows. The number of Members' Show tickets varies with membership level. Tickets can be requested for one or the other of the two Members' Shows, or for levels with multiple tickets, you can request to split them between the shows. Non-members can purchase tickets to these shows for $40; the same price as a Friend-level membership in the Western Folklife Center. Members' Show tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Click here for more membership information.
Exclusively, members are invited to attend the Opening Reception celebrating the new exhibition in the Wiegand Gallery that will premiere in Elko for the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering.
