Expressing the Rural West—Into the Future!

Saddle by Dave RigbyThis exhibition celebrates the new renaissance of western artistry among young gearmakers and visual artists. Throughout the week of the 30th National Cowboy Poetry Gathering, the Western Folklife Center's Wiegand Gallery was also be a gathering place to see gearmaking demonstrations, visit with artists and view contemporary work. An opening reception with the artists was held on Friday, January 31, 2014, at 3:30pm for Western Folklife Center Members, Stakeholders and sponsors only, and at 4:30pm the exhibition will formally open to the general public.
