Let's Dance! at the Western Folklife Center

The Arinak Dancers of the Elko Basque Club have agreed to teach some of their cultural dances at Let's Dance! in June. These lively dances will get you on your feet and put a smile on your face.

Join us at 501 Railroad Street, Elko, for a fun evening. Lessons at 6pm, open dancing at 7pm. Cost is $5, Adults and teens welcome.

Elko Arinak Dance group instructors, Holly and Janet, along with students, will teach the steps to Jota, Arin-Arin, and Zazpi Jauziak! Come learn a new dance and experience a local culture before July's National Basque Festival.

The Western Folklife Center’s G Three Bar Theater continues to be a lively place with twice-monthly dance lessons and dancing every 2nd and 4th Thursday. Since May 2013, the Western Folklife Center has hosted Let’s Dance! - - a popular twice-monthly community event that includes dance lessons followed by open dancing for adults and teens. A partner is not required and beginners are welcome to join the fun. Dance lessons will include a variety of interesting steps in a featured style. View the Poster in PDF. 

Dance nights for 2015 will be: February 12 and 26 * March 12 and 26 * April 9 and 23 * May 14 and 28 * June 11 and 25 * July 9 and 23 * August 13 and 27 * September 10 and 24 * October 8 and 22 * November 12 (one night only) * December 10 (one night only)
