Walt LaRue

Walt LaRue was best known as an artist; however, he was also an actor, stuntman, singer, songwriter, rodeo cowboy and imitator of radio personalities. He grew up around horses and was introduced to rodeoing in his late teens.

During his rodeo days he met Richard Farnsworth and together they went to Hollywood where the found they could earn easy money in the film industry.

Throughout his life, Walt made firm and lasting friendships, and he will be greatly missed. Walt last joined us in Elko for the 20th National Cowboy Poetry Gathering.
